M. Leigh Austin, Co-Founder and Principal. Ms. Austin is primarily responsible for the investment activities, asset management and administration of SCC. Prior to starting SCC/SLF in 1999, Ms. Austin was Director of Development for KB Home. Prior to 1996, Ms. Austin held various real estate finance and work-out positions with banks, including Citibank, N.A., and real estate investment companies. Ms. Austin is a graduate of Florida State University (B.A., 1976) and the Anderson School of Management at UCLA (M.B.A., honors, 1981).

Dan Hayes, Co-Founder and Principal.  Mr. Hayes is primarily responsible for the investment activities, asset management and financial administration of SCC.  Prior to starting SCC/SLF in 1999, Mr. Hayes was Assistant Treasurer at KB Home.  Before joining KB Home in 1995, Mr. Hayes held various positions in strategic planning, restructuring, corporate and project finance and M&A with New Urban West Communities and Kenneth Leventhal & Company.  Mr. Hayes is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., 1984) and the Anderson School of Management at UCLA (M.B.A.,honors, 1988).

Brieanne Nikrandt, Vice President. Ms. Nikrandt is primarily responsible for managing the company's assets in Seattle, Northern California, Phoenix and Texas.  Ms. Nikrandt is also responsible for cash flow projections and quarterly reporting. Prior to joining SCC, Ms. Nikrandt was a Relationship Manager of Real Estate at JP Morgan Chase.  Ms. Nikrandt is a graduate of the University of Iowa (B.A., 2001).

Marcy Connelly, Operations Manager.  Ms. Connelly is responsible for the day-to-day operations related to SCC's land holdings including lot purchases and sales, land development draws, insurance and title matters, and asset documentation.  Prior to joining SCC in 2004, Ms. Connelly was the Senior Accountant for House of Blues Corporate Office and an auditor for Deloitte & Touche. Ms. Connelly is a graduate of Pepperdine University (B.S., 2001).
