Current open positions:

Executive Assistant & Group Manager

Responsibilities include performing all administrative tasks related to The Fund including, but not limited to, coordination of complex conference calls, circulation of correspondence via email, facsimile and courier to clients and other professionals. Will be expected to have initiative to follow through on correspondence, and to respond appropriately to calls to Managing Director(s) and other personnel in department. Will also assist other group professionals including associate/senior associate(s) and vice president(s). Will act as the nucleus of the group to promote & facilitate communication between the members and ensure the group stays on course and on schedule mostly with respect to administrative duties.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum AA, or comparable experience, in related field
  • Computer literate in at least Windows, MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Knowledge of general business and corporate procedures
  • Proficient typing (65-70 WPM) and organizational skills required
  • Able to multitask and to help executives remain organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times is critical
  • Self-starter, good communicator, professional, organized.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Transmissions of information (fax, email, overnight mail, messenger, US mail)
  • Coordination and reservations for all travel including air, hotel &/or car
  • Coordination of meetings
  • Download articles and other information as needed, subject to adequate training for research purposes
  • Scheduling of calendars and contact database in Outlook
  • Keeping Partner on schedule on a day to day basis
  • Maintaining files, including photocopying as necessary
  • Draft and maintain correspondence; may include taking and/or transcribing dictation - includes meeting minutes, etc.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls and pass on to appropriate executive
  • Place telephone calls and take accurate and legible messages and/or place caller into appropriate executives voice mailbox
  • Maintain executive expense report reimbursements and credit card statements
  • Compile and bind brochures
  • Act as host to business guests; ask and serve refreshments if appropriate
  • Set up before, and clean up after business meetings and or luncheons
  • Compile and prepare various reports for executive use as needed
  • Perform additional miscellaneous assignments per executives' direction
  • Assume responsibility for other executives as necessary
  • Continually expand your computer knowledge and skills to better the efficiency and productivity of this position
  • Cover reception phones when needed
  • Organize, coordinate and co-lead group bi-weekly meetings
  • Keep the group up to date on administrative responsibilities
  • Maintain a calendar of the groups' meetings, calls, vacations, etc. so the group is aware of upcoming events and other members' whereabouts
  • Act as the liaison between outside vendors and the group (i.e. hotel and car service sales agents for corporate rates, group publications, etc.)
  • Act as the liaison between executives and other business units
  • Assist the Marketing department in preparing packages or mass mailings when necessary
  • Assist executive with personal matters, as necessary

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, Corporate Headquarters. The Receptionist will be responsible for greeting visitors and answering calls in a timely and courteous manner. This position is also responsible for directing visitors to the proper person or department, as well as taking messages when necessary. The ideal candidate will be an experienced executive or administrative assistant who is willing to cover front desk duties as well, and can do so exceptionally and professionally. Good organizational skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in the performance of filing/faxing/photocopying, general office duties and answering multi-line phone are required.

Qualifications: at least 1 year previous experience as a receptionist, administrator or executive assistant; lives within a 10 mile radius from our Santa Monica office; and is interested in working on a temp-to-perm basis.

Financial Analyst.The ideal candidate will have exceptionally strong communication skills and experience preparing financial presentations. Strong analytical skills, including accounting, corporate and securities valuation, and financial modeling capabilities are required. Duties include performing due diligence review of companies, preparing periodic financial reports with narrative summaries, identifying, tracking and researching prospective companies and preparing "pitch books". Must be financially astute and should be aware of "modern" financial theory. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word is mandatory. Ideally is interested in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications: BA/BS with major or emphasis in Accounting and Finance; strong academic credentials; Ideal candidate will have up to one year experience in performing financial analysis at a Big 4 accounting firm, investment bank, commercial bank or high yield asset manager.
